Installing a Blow Off Valve?

so i picked up a blow off valve on CL cause it was dirt cheap and i was wondering if it would work on my 83 280zxt?

if so can i have instructions plz?

Question... we recirc on the S130 because it's metered air (and more importantly regardless if you are running an AFM, MAF or MAP to keep the turbo spooled up). Since the metered air is being blown off when it's off throttle does it really make any difference if you vent to atmosphere since at that point in time the injectors probably aren't even firing....

You'd basically need to do what Nismo posted, you'd need an adapter to go with that BOV



And then either vent the pressure, or have it blow right back into the intake

these computers are so old they don't really notice the difference if you vent to the atmosphere or recirc on the AFM setup. on a Z31 MAF swap though I could see a recirc being helpful. as for that BOV you bought, looks like a greddy EBAY knock off. expect the diaphragm in it to blow after a short period of time. you'll know when you get a boost leak.

sorry to bring this back up, but that 2nd link you gave where he cut into the vacuum lines and made some tee's and elbows, does that actually work? without jacking with the j-pipe?
