81 280zx speedometer issues

I pulled out the dash from my 81 280zx with intent to replace the dash lights and speakers as well as reupholstering it as well part of my restoration process. And after removing it I noticed the speedometer end is loose and has no control and seems to just wobble around. I took out the plastic protector to try and see if I could figure out as to why this was like this but was no use and then that's when I noticed something fell out from somewhere from instrument panel a little rubber block slightly warped on one side and I have no clue as to where it came from. If anyone could help me that's would be greatly appreciated!

The rubber block is a wedge to hold the gauge cluster in place. There are two and are placed at the left and right bottom of the cluster at the metal dash frame.

Nobody but you can inspect it... just spin the back of the speedo to see if it still reads. Not complicated.
