1983 280ZXT MSD 6AL install?

I need help installing the MSD 6AL Ignition Control Box. I need help with the wiring. Also, Do I even need a tach adapter? If I do, which one 8910 or 8920?

I've been researching this for over a week and the best I can find is 240z conversions and non-turbo models. such as this.

MSD 6A Installation with 280zx distributor and 240Z tach

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry to bump this thread but I've been searching everywhere for anymore useful information.

I am new here and I have tried to "search" as I have in many other forums and nothing specific came through.

As the OP said, there is a 8910, and a 8920, which would I need for a 81 280ZX?
I have it wired in most of the way, just no reading to the tach which I guess is cutting fuel to the car.

The ECU doesn't care if the tach is getting signal or not. The tach signal comes from one side of the coil (blue wire with a bullet connector from the harness inside the inner fender on the driver side IIRC). I'm not sure if you want to hook the 280ZX tach signal to a coil that is getting 400V instead of 12V...

finally installed my msd box 6200, tach adapter 8210, and SS coil, the car works fine, butt he tachometer does not work.

I understand that the tachometer signal works with original coil negative, and when installing the msd box, the signal for the tachometer and EFI becomes wea. tach adapter supposedly helps the EFI and tachometer work, but in my case the tachometer does not work, I need another type of adapter?

thanks in advance.
