ECU fried

Ok...need help..Im new with the 280zx but I think I figured out problem...ECU is burnt up, I started with new injectors, new fuel pump and was not getting pulse signal to injector wires, took cover off ECU and its fried..Question now is I cant find my part number which is A11 652 805 but I find all kinds of different part numbers that say it will work on 1983, can any other ECU work with different part number and is my ECU specific to my digital dash? Thanks for any help. Oh yeah 1983 non turbo manual

Hey Schultzy,

I had a similar problem after having not run my baby for 3 years (and it's re-parked until May), just COULDN'T get pulse to the injector wires. Turned out to be a bad ground between ECU legs/bolts to the cage behind. Cleaned 'em up and she fired right up!

If it's indeed fried, found this info posted by datsunaholic over at ratsun:

There was a major change in how the ECUs fired the injectors between the 1982 and
83 model year, since in '83 they did away with the external resistor bank. Basically any '83 280ZX non-turbo ECU will work, but earlier ones won't. An '83 Maxima ECU would probably get it running but not well.
