rear axle
today i was drivin and my car started to fish tail when i was turning, and my rear right side tire hit the curb and now it is the tire is bent in, and my auto shop teacher told me that i will problay need a new axle and new strut bar. i wanted to know is there a place where i can get one besides a junk yard. and also is it alright to drive on it when it is like that?

Well, you've got independant suspension. You may need just one side of the half shafts.
If it really is bent in then yes you'll need a new strut assembly (a strut bar is on the inside and connects the bolts of the two strut towers: optional) and possibly a new trailing arm. That is the whole assembly that connects the bottom of the hub to the car.
I would say a junk yard is best. Buy it used, you really don't need a brand new one and they are probably NLA.

May I add to this post by saying how stupid I am. Last night at 4:30 am.. I tried taking a left street corner at about 40 miles per hour and really gunned it and the rear end just snapped... it gave no warning and I did a 180 and slamned sideways into the right side curb of the street and totally mashed my right left wheel underneath the car. Its at like a 40 degree angle now instead of 90. left front touched the curb as well and both rims look to be bent. 
I just got my car out of the shop after being in it for 3 months by a pokey mechanic. I guess i was too excited to get it back. Yeah I dunno what all im gonna have to fix, I looked under the rear left fender and the shock and strut look ok but i dunno, I expect the rest to not look as good. It sucks though, cause I am so dissapointed in myself and that i could do that, never before have I felt out of control in my car until this happened.. It sucks to be mad at people but it is so much worse to be mad at yourself, one of the worst feelings in the world.
