The stock headers won't work in the S30 chassis without hitting the firewall. I cut them up to use as mockup for the stainless tubes. I might use flexible stainless exhaust tubing from the flanges to the collectors.

There's a chopped down roof S30 in a Z grave yard around here. Vertically from the top of the door to roof line is less than 1ft. Looks pretty crazy... I think they were going for the ratrod approach, but didn't work out. I'll try to get a pic sometime.

Interesting. It would be quite an undertaking. It's not that hard with PhotoImpression lol but when I sectioned the picture it gave me some ideas of how to do it for real. Hope you can find the post, I don't remember ever seeing it. The speedster would be easier.

Time flies and nothing done. I did get a Walbro 255L fuel pump and I just scored a 12 circuit Painless wiring harness. So I'm just going to yank the old harness.

Went to picknpull for 1/2 price day. Got these cv axles and hubs out of a '91 Infinity M30. Got some Maxima rear calipers for a rear disc conversion. I did this on my "70 but I used 280zx calipers. Here is a pic of the brackets i used to make.

I am going to use the stock ones. I will have to bore them out to fit the larger bearings. It's about .010. I will have to section about 1/2 or more out of the companion hubs because the axles are longer. Not sure how much but the width of the 280zx and M30 are 2 1/2" wider than the S30. I might go with the 300zx 5 lug stub axles.

vlsd
When I was at picknpull I didn't notice the yellow dot by the fill plug on the diff. I looked it up on the web to find out what gear ratio it might have. Turns out they all have 3.9 vlsd!!! Went back today and snagged it for $100. Now I will have a robust set up for smokin both tires.
