Value question
Hey guys, first time posting. Hoping to get a little more information on a space saver spare tire that I found in my basement (no idea how it got there). Well anyway it's a Datsun space saver spare tire with the inflator attached. I am assuming it's from a Z car but I could be mistaken. The inflator is in almost perfect condition. The rim is slightly rusted and the tire looks great. I am a car guy as well but I don't know anything about these cars. If someone could let me know about how much the tire and inflator is worth that would be awesome. I would really like to sell it to someone passionate about these cars so anyone interested I would give a good deal to. Will be posting pictures soon. Thanks for your help.

The tire is worth it's weight in scrap metal. I've sent more than 5 of them to the junk yard. As for the inflator canister, just depends on how bad someone wants it. I have two that have been sitting on my shelf for ~15 years... more of a nostalgic factor than practical use. But, seems like people think they are worth a lot on ebay...

Inflatable Z rim/tire assembly, looks new, unused. It saved space in the rear. Recyclers here sell them for $30-$40. Most Z31 drivers need one because they get lost/forgotten over the years. I wore one out, sorta, by driving on it for 2 weeks while getting a wheel/rim repaired. Had to replace the tire part because it went bald in just 2 weeks. Not that hard to find, actually.
The inflator can is probably dead. Can be replaced, too. Not sure of the antique value, tho... Only on Ebay!
But the tire is in good shape, sorta. Clean it up and put it on Ebay/Craig's for local pickup. Include dimensions and fotos. Ask for $? (your call) OBO. Someone will buy it. Be optimistic. Apply the bigger fool theory. Works almost every time.
