Steering rack bushes worn out.
The steering rack bushes on my 1975 280z need replacing. They are original rubber. Thinking of going with poly. Only reason why is I had a hard time getting the rubber ones out since they are one piece. (didn't remove the rack, just lifted it a few inches). Looks like the poly since they are very hard, comes as a 2 piece upper and lower bush. Might be way easier to install with the rack still in place? Any suggestions?
I am going to replace all suspension bushes probably with rubber as it is so much easier to work with most of the time. Thanks!

The poly bushings are a tight fit, but being 2-pc makes it a little easier. The original rubber style bushings are getting hard to find. Poly bushings hold up better to oils and chemicals dripping on them. I would say poly and lube them up a little before installing.
