starting problem

starting problem

Hello while working on my 73 240z while running I made contact with the fan and the engine died and will not start, can someone tell me what happen and how to fix, my dumb mistake..Thanks Tom

Welcome to ZDriver! Can you explain what the above means? (Did you lose a finger? If not, why not?) The engine should 'start' even if there is no fan at all, if you know what I mean. The 'will not start' thing makes no sense to me the way you say it. So, what else were you doing to the engine when you accidentally 'made contact'? Was the engine running right at the time?

lol... Exactly what I was thinking too.

If parts went flying, perhaps it ripped off the coil to distributor wire? Or other wires? Details plzzzzzzz....
