Save your fuel pumps!

Save your fuel pumps!
Relatively inexpensive thing to do..this is after 2 years of running with the filter (summer months), filter is before the fuel pump. Should get the tank baked and lined for sure. I think stock pumps come with filters, not 100% on that, but if you are having fuel issues maybe take a look!

Nice Timing
Thanks for the recommendation Skully.
You've got great timing as my project has reached the "fuel system" stage.
Next up is vapor recovery, gas tank and flexible fuel line installation.
I pulled the low pressure electric pump off the car as I changed my flat-tops for round-tops. According to Bruce at Z-Therapy, the mechanical one will be just fine with my configuration. Still considering filters before and after the mechanical pump. Any thoughts on this or recommendations?
BTW, been out of town for three weeks on holiday (hence the lack of posts). The last four days we spent at wifey's BFF's home in California. Her husband purchased a used car for their kids while we were there and I got to spend a couple of days with the husband going over it, examining, cleaning, servicing, fixing and so on. After missing my own project for over a month from a huge honey-do list and the holiday, this was great fun and good therapy too.

Thanks for the pics skully, this is on my list to do as well (already have the filter). I'm Not exactly sure where to put it on my 76 280z... The PO has 1/2" line running from the tank to the pump, which looks like it was recently replaced. I thought that line was supposed to be 3/8", so I may need to get a different filter. Mine is the fram G3 I think.
