1972 240Z Fuel filler hose leaking

My 240Z leaks gas all over the ground when putting gas into it.

The culprit is almost certainly the previous owner who cobbled together some "innovative" solutions.

Here's what my fuel filler assembly looks like: https://i.imgur.com/VtyZXrK.jpg

Anybody know what this is supposed to look like?

Guessing more like this? http://compare.ebay.com/like/180957323023?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

Parts

I bet one of our resident parts guys like Jamal will have a serviceable Fuel Filler hose for a little cheaper than that. PM borini63 and see if he has one, I'd bet he can hook you up ! Your current setup looks like an accident ready to happen. I'd avoid static electricity and fireworks until you get that fixed

Also, check the vent hoses. With the kludge for the filler, I would expect to find others (if the PO even bothered to try to fix them), especially since those hoses tend to rot, and they will leak gas out, too.

Yep, thanks. I went ahead and bought a new filler hose and I'll take out the interior quarter panel tonight and see how the vent hoses look. Probably replace all of them, which I'm hoping will also help the gas smell in the cabin.

Anybody have suggestions for getting the current fuel filler hose out of the car? It's pretty solid and I'm not having any luck. Does it come up out the exterior or down out the bottom? I've read that a heat gun will soften it up, but I'm a little hesitant to put a heat gun anywhere near this thing.

Went the ebay route and picked up a new Nissan hose for $90 including shipping.

Here's all the stuff I took out: https://i.imgur.com/4cYbrDe.jpg

No more leak, but makes me worry about other undiscovered jury rigged hazards.
