i have a all stock 1978 280z and i mean EVERYTHING is stock but it all looks GOOD!!!! anyways it has about 87k miles on it and i was wondering if i could just put a different transmission on it. I was thinking along the lines of the BORG WARNER T56. i was wondering though if it would work and if it would give me better performance if not could you tell me the best i could put on there . thx alot

I posted this link in response to another question about engines. Lots of good tranny stuff there too.. the answer is yes, the tranny will fit.
