Rear Hatch Won't Lock (260z)
I just purchased a 260z, and it runs and drives just fine. The door and hatch locks however are very finnicky. I can play around with the door locks and get them to do their job, but I cannot lock the rear hatch even after using graphite lube. Does anyone have experience dealing with this? Thank you for your help gentlemen.

Pick up a freebie factory service manual at XenonS30 if you don't have one. Other cool docs there.
Sounds like your original locks and latches are tired, worn out. Think about replacement. Graphite can only do so much.
Rear hatch is probably spring-loaded to latch when hatch is lowered. Replacement weather gaskets may be holding the latch up too high. If you lean on it, does it latch? If not, maybe you can replace the spring. Otherwise, you can think recyclers and buy the assembly from a junker - or from the WTB forum here on ZDriver. If you have to replace the lock too, a locksmith can make you a key. Let us know what you do with this.
Welcome again.!
